Title: Kitchen on Wheels: Initiating Culinary Medicine in Pediatrics
Description: Collaborative initiative between Child Life and Clinical Nutrition to implement a monthly culinary medicine program to engage pediatric patients and their families in blending the art of food and cooking with the science of medicine. Culinary medicine aims to guide individuals to healthier decisions about eating quality foods that help prevent and treat illness/disease and restore well-being.

Title: Hospital Wide Adaptive Care Program: LOOK, ACCESS, PLAN
Description: Presenters will discuss how an Adaptive Care Program got started and initiated out within two pediatric Chicagoland campuses. This presentation will also provide strategies for patients within the Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Autism like challenging behaviors. This presentation will cover how we launched a program and onboarded an entire team of nurses, doctors, and other support staff. Participants will learn how to "LOOK, ACCESS, and PLAN" when working with patients with ASD. Participants will also gain other important tools to utilize in the hospital when initiating their own Adaptive Care Program.

Title: The Mindful Child: Strategies and concepts for teaching mindfulness to children
Description: The presentation will give an overview of mindfulness to allow practitioners to implement concepts and interventions with clients. We will cover the pillars of mindfulness, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy concepts, and strategies for teaching mindfulnes to children. Participants will engage in meditations as well, highlighting the importance of a developed practitioner meditative practice. Concepts presented will draw on MBSR.
